The Practice at Evergreen was established in 2024 by Amy Harper, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.

Amy's formative years were set against the picturesque backdrop of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Following her departure from her hometown to pursue further education, she felt drawn to return to her roots in the mountain community of Mariposa. Her aim was to leverage her newfound knowledge and skills to make a meaningful impact by providing therapeutic support to her community.

After receiving her Masters degree in 2013, Amy started her clinical work with children on the Autism Spectrum, provided Equine Therapy to developmentally disabled and at-risk teens, and began expanding her services to individual adults, families, and couples.

In working with a wide variety of populations and demographics, Amy found herself drawn to working with couples as her primary cliental. Amy is passionate about promoting health and wellness within the family unit, and working with couples seemed like the most beneficial way to have positive influence over such an important demographic. With this mission in mind, Amy launched The Conscious Wife on Instagram; a free resource for couples that helps them to learn, understand, and navigate their romantic relationships in a way that provides deep levels of healing.

In an effort to ensure ALL people from ALL backgrounds, dealing with ALL of life’s varying challenges had a safe space to process, gain understanding, & resolve internal suffering, Amy knew she needed to create a team!

To accomplish this, she spent the greater part of a decade developing a group therapy practice composed of highly qualified clinicians with varying specializations to help bring valuable therapeutic services to the community of Mariposa and beyond, ensuring that a wide variety of populations had a place to go in times of need.

We’re here for you!
